Looking back to the beginning of the independent struggle of northern and southern Cameroon and its post-colonial history, we would like to touch upon one aspect of the country’s colonial heritage - language, and try to seek out the actual causes behind this political upheaval. Cameroon, a multi-ethnic state with a rich diversity of languages and cultures, is not often on the European radar.
